Aguada Fort: Located at a distance of about 15 km from the bus stand of Panjim, this magnificent structure was constructed for the purpose of preventing Dutch and Maratha ships from entering through the river Mandovi and played a major role when it comes to protecting this place from outside aggression. This is one of the major tourist destinations in Goa and is one of the most important heritage sites in this place
