Which Smartphone should I buy? Is probably the most asked question one might ask from you and it can be a serious task considering the wide range of options available these days especially in the entry level segment. With the ingress of Oppo’s affordable A37 Smartphone it just got bigger and ticks almost all the right boxes considering the price range.

The device is currently on sale in China and it is available in Rose Gold, grey and Gold colors. It will soon be launched in Singapore and Indonesia, however there is no news regarding its India roll out but we expect it to arrive soon.

The Oppo A37 is an entry level Smartphone which comes with price tag of Rs. $199 i.e. 13,300 INR making it great bang for your bucks, though the final price will be varied by market. Oppo A37 sports Apple I-phone 6 lookalike design and curved sides. It features a 5 inch HD display with 2.5D arc glass, screen resolution of 1280*720 pixels and display is protected by Corning Gorilla glass 4.

The heart of the Smartphone is a Quad core Snapdragon 410 chipset clubbed with2GB of RAM. The available on-board storage stands at 16GB though with an option of Micro SD card one can further expand it to 128GB.

On the OS front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with Oppo’s Color OS 3.0 on top.

The Marshmallow OS would have been a better choice. For optics, it utilizes an 8 Megapixel rear shooter paired with f/2.2 aperture, OMNI BSI sensor and 1.4um pixelsize resulting in less noise oriented and better low light photos. Front is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera set up mated to an f/2.4 aperture and gesture countdown feature.

The rear shooter is available with LED flash; beautification feature and Ultra HD mode that is claimed to produce 24MP pictures. The Smartphone measures 143.1 x 71 x 7.7mm and weighs 136 grams.

The Oppo A37 is fitted with triple card slots- so one can use two Nano Sims and one for Micro SD card at the same time. It takes its juice from a 2630mah battery which should provide more than decent back up. Overall, A37 is a decent package taking into account the hardware and software its offering at a pocket friendly price range. So what do you think?
