Jangjir holds a very vital place in Chattisgarh state. Not only this district is known to the world for its exquisite beauty and temples of different kinds, but economically also it is a fruitful destination for the state. Visitors from all over the world visit Janjgir for its intrinsic environment and surroundings.

Interestingly, one thing which has been making round regarding from a few days is the purchasing of paddy crops at support value. In the buying of paddy Janjgir-Champa has gained a second spot in Chattisgarh. First place is grabbed by the district Mahasamund. Although as far as the growth is concerned Janjgir is nominated at numero uno spot.

Lack of sale is said to be the reason behind this. Chattisgarh is renowned as the sea for paddy fields. There was a time when the area had a privilege to grow the highest numbers of paddy fields, but due to the failed policy of the state government it has now slipped to the second place, which is heartening.Although there are heaps of grains in committees. Considering this, there's a possibility of big circuitousness. Reports from the department suggests that in Jangjir district till the evening of  21st January purchasing of almost fifty six lakhs twenty one thousand and three hundred fifty seven quintals of grains had been done through two hundred and six committees.

On the other hand, with hundred and twenty two centers fifty six lakhs ninety thousand nine ninety two quintals of paddy were purchased. It depicts that Janjgir-Champa was left chasing by whooping sixty nine thousand quintals compared to that in Mahasamund. The third spot is taken by the district Balodabaazar. Here fourty nine lakh eighty five thousand five hundred eighty two quintals of grains were bought. Likewise fourth position is conquered by Rajanandgaanv district. On fifth spot comes the capital city Raipur.

Abiding by the support value of paddy co-operative committee obtained forty two lakhs quintals of grains. Production in the district has been bumper till now, but farmers are still incapable of selling their piece of grains to the market. Government has determined some complexity due to which it is creating hazards for them to sell it. Farmers are hopping lakhs of grains with them. This will result in farmers letting their sweat and blood go in the hands of mediators at very cheap rates. This way farmers are surely going to incur losses, paving nothing to their credit but deficit.
