The first-generation Mazda 6 was revealed in 2002 with three body styles: 4-door sedan, 5-door sedan-like hatchback, and a wagon. The exterior looks sharp and sporty with several trims available including a limited and classic trim, a luxury trim with Bluetooth connectivity, sat-nav system, and Bose sound system. While the luxury sports trim came with bucket seats.

Second Generation

The second generation was unveiled in 2007 with a larger body but was also lighter and sportier. The exterior changes featured a combination of sharp angles and curved lines with a wide v-shaped pentagonal grille that gave the car a sporty look. The interior comes with bucket seats and the rear seat was designed for three passengers and can accommodate two occupants with enough head, shoulder, foot, and knee room.

It came with a previously used 1.8-liter 4-cylinder MZR petrol engine as the base engine. Other engines were upgraded; the 2.3-liter 4-cylinder petrol increased to a 2.5-liter and the 3.0-liter V6 boosted to 3.7 liters, while the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder became a 2.2-liter.

Third Generation

The third generation of the Mazda 6 was launched in 2012 with bigger, lighter, and leaner than the previous model. It had an elegant, sleek, and noticeable styling with a long low-set bonnet that runs to the deep air-gulping winged radiator grille and sculptured lines on the side.
