NTSE 2018-19:NTSE Stage 1 Exam Dates Announced by NCERT
NTSE 2018-19: The exam dates for NTSE 2018-19 has been released by NCERT who is the conducting body of National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). The exam will be conducted in two stages. Earlier, NCERT released notification on 4 July detailing about NTSE Exam Dates for the academic session 2018-19. NTSE Stage 1 Exam will be held on 3 November 2018 in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, whereas for rest of the states and union territory, NTSE Stage 1 Exam will be held on 4 November 2018. NTSE 2018-19: Selection Process
Every year around 10, 00,000 candidates appear in NTSE Stage 1 exam which is conducted by every state and union territory individually. The qualified candidates from NTSE Stage 1 are only eligible for NTSE Stage 2 Exam which is conducted by NCERT. However, the Indian Students studying abroad are eligible to appear directly in NTSE Stage 2 Exam.
NTSE is one of the toughest scholarship exams as number of applicants are more and only 1000 are got selected for NTSE Scholarship after successful completion of NTSE Stage 1 and NTSE Stage 2 Exams.

NTSE Exam dates are released for the academic year 2018-19. Apart from that, the Government of India has approved 27% quota for OBC candidates in NTSE Stage 2. Earlier, NTSE Stage 2 has quota reserved for SC, ST and Physically Challenged candidates.
