The girls who have passed 8^th class from a recognized school or college can apply for this scholarship scheme.

What is National Scheme of Incentives to Girls for Secondary Education (NSIGSE)

Central government has started NSIGSE Scholarship Scheme 2017-18 in May 2008 with the aim to encourage parents about girls higher education and to increase girl ration. The girls who belongs to SC/ST category are eligible to get financial assistance by the government under Scholarship Scheme. Government also want to encourage girls about higher education by providing financial help. Under this scheme government will deposit Rs. 3,000 to girls banks account when she take admission in 9^th class. Girls can withdraw money along with interest after passing 10^th class and reach the age of 18 years.

Eligibility Criteria For NSIGSE Scholarship Scheme 2017-18

The girls who passed 8^th class apply for scholarship.
SC/ST girl are eligible to get scholarship.
Girls who passed 8^th class from government schools can apply for scholarship.
