Now’s The Time To Start Comparing Solar Cover Rollers For The Summer

by Liz Seyi Digital marketing manager

With recent events forcing more and more of us to stay at home, it’s fair to say that your summer events calendar may be looking very sparse right now. But on the other hand, you might at least have more opportunity to look to your home swimming pool and consider the essentials you could buy for it to ensure you get the best out of it in the months ahead.

And as far as ‘essentials’ go, few pieces of swimming pool equipment are more essential than solar cover rollers. Also sometimes referred to as ‘solar reel systems’, the principle behind them is the same: making it easy for you to use your solar cover, while also helping to boost its longevity.

So, what solar cover rollers can you choose from right now?

While there’s obviously no shortage of online stores out there offering swimming pool reel systems, our status here at Pool Warehouse as the UK’s only solar pool cover manufacturer that sells direct to the public gives us a certain insight into what works well in such a reel system, and what doesn’t.

Sure enough, we haven’t just cobbled together any old collection of solar cover rollers, but instead brought together pool reel systems that we know to be high-quality and trusted products. That’s partly because they come from such reputable manufacturers as Vagner Pools and Plastica.

This means that even our ‘entry-level’ Pool Roller, for pools up to 16ft wide and 32ft long, is an excellent solution for the outlay, with its stainless steel end supports, aluminium telescopic poles, large lawn wheels that enable it to be moved away from the pool, and hand wheels at both ends – the latter feature exclusive to Pool Warehouse.

But we can also bring you such dependable options as a Pool Roller POST System, the Plastica Slide N Lock, an Electric (Mains) Reel System and the HELIOS Solar Pool Reel. The electric system, for instance, includes a control box, transformer and motor, and is remote control operated. Meanwhile, the HELIOS solar-powered product incorporates batteries that are recharged via built-in solar panels.

Don’t take any risks with your choice of swimming pool superstore

Solar cover rollers may not be the most ‘glamorous’ addition that anyone can make to a swimming pool, but they’re important for protecting one of the most important pieces of swimming pool equipment that you will have – your solar cover.

Our reel covers can also go a long way to ensuring that, with these to be found in the same section of our store as the reel systems. Why not, then, shop for both during your time stuck indoors, as you wait for the summer months that will enable you to really make the most of your swimming pool?
