Nicaragua has a new vacation hot spot on Pochomil Beach.

Today we are announcing our arrival as the newest undiscovered hot spot Vacation Destination in Central America. Our main aim is to offer groups of surfers, yoga retreats and families, a new undiscovered destination to visit in Central America. We offer packages at up to half the price of popular neighboring destinations like Costa Rica.

I am John Paul Pfeiffer, owner at The Beach House at Playa Pochomil, We wanted to try something new and bring attention to the undiscovered beauty and ambiance that Nicaragua embodies. Anyone familiar with the tourism market in Central America will probably have noticed how most known destinations and hotels are simply recreations of tourist spots in other countries. This is a problem because it prevents visitors from seeing the true history and culture of the country they are visiting. Not only is this boring but it completely contradicts the purpose of traveling and exploring the world. We wanted to offer something with this property that is authentic and embodies a true Nicaraguan experience. I feel this is the only way it should be.

So as a welcome breath of fresh air we will provide guests with an abundance of amenities to ensure the comfort of our guest while still giving a unique experience only Nicaragua can offer. We chose to make this move because we feel that visiting and traveling to new places should be authentic and unique. We want our guests to feel like they have been to Nicaragua, not transferred to a re-creation of a place in their home country. We feel that chains and big brand companies create a cookie cutter environment and take away from the true experience of the location they are visiting, preventing them from being enriched by new experiences.

We want to give our guests an opportunity to discover Nicaragua's beautiful beaches, and kind people. Since discovering Nicaragua several years ago, I have met so many amazing people and have fallen in love with the Nicaraguan people. There is a purity and honesty here that I have rarely seen in the world. They have shown me nothing but open arms and hospitality. We only employ local Nicaraguans to help care for and run our property and we would have it no other way. With our Beach House on Pochomil Beach , we have created a fresh new possibility to immerse yourself into the Beach life of Nicaragua and get to know their amazing people, just as I have. We want our guests to feel like they want to come back to visit again and again. Trying something new is always a risk, but it's a risk we believe is worth taking.

The property boasts both a private pool and Jacuzzi overlooking a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean which is only feet away. The setting provides some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable as well as surfing right in front of the property. The property has 3 main houses and can sleep up to 11 guest. In addition to providing rentals for the whole property privately, the Beach House also offers rentals of each individual house on the property. Two of the 3 houses are Casitas that sleep up to 4 guests each, so the Beach House is great for small and large groups alike.

For those needing to work on the go the property provides WIFI that spans out to the Beach and has an RO water filtration system to ensure unlimited clean drinking water for all our guests.

The Beach House offers guests, ATV rentals, Horseback riding as well as surfing board and boogie board rentals. Exploring the long stretches of untouched beaches via ATV is guest favorite.

Only 1 kilometer down the beach is the local fishing town of Masachapa. Guests of the beach house can hire our house chef who will come prepare all meals. He hand picks all ingredients at the local markets such as fresh seafood, vegetables and fruits to prepare mouth watering traditional Nicaraguan dishes.

The Beach House at Playa Pochomil has been in business now for over 4 years, established in 2016. Since Day 1 we always aimed to introduce the world to the wonders of Nicaragua.

This isn't the first time we have defied convention either. In Early 2020 we caused a stir when we ran a local contest to gave away a free weeks stay to a local Nicaraguan Family.
