NFL Survivor Pool Checklist

by Marcus Smith Real Estate Agent

If you’re reading this, then you’re still probably deep into the long night (and full of terrors). The Survivor Pool has a long way to go, but the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight.

NFL games now enter the fifth week, and there are some pretty tight games to take a closer look into. For bettors like me who are still standing in the 2019 NFL survivor pool, task at hand is to browse through the slated games for the week, study them and study them good before finally making a pick. But aside from looking into scheduled matches, there are a few things you can do to make sure you’ll make it to the final.

  1. Check the schedules

Browsing through the rundown of scheduled games for the week is the most important thing to do. It’s how you can decide properly on which game will have the best outcome for your pick, according to the teams that are playing and who they’re going up against. So, scanning the NFL game previews in sportsbooks and sports blogs should be your pre-survivor pool ritual every week for you to gauge your winning chances.

  1. Check the teams

It’s not just the previews you should be studying. On a more important note, checking the teams well should be your top priority. That’s why betting on your favorite team is a big thumbs down in a survivor pool. Instead of rooting for your idol teams, go for ones that have the highest statistical chance to win the game they are scheduled to play. The same amount of attention should be directed to the opponent as well. Tipping the scales is the key to surviving.

  1. Check the weather

We’re still at the bottom half of the 2019 NFL Survivor Pool, and there is a long long way to go.  But that shouldn’t stop you from building your momentum as you enter the scarier stages. You never know what could happen, and any slight bump can cost you your entire survivor wager, so keep your radars on and be aware of the weather. Look for signs that may affect the game in the pool you’re planning to bet on, like injuries, possible delays, performance hinders, and whatnot.

  1. Check the odds

Listen to what the sportsbooks are telling you. Or better, look closely to the numbers running in Vegas. Studying how the teams - especially those involved in the scheduled games - are being perceived by the big players in the betting market will help you decide whether there’s money on the game you’re planning to bet on. Or whether it can get you to the next week, and the incoming weeks until you reach the final. The path to survival is carved in numbers and expert opinion, so be sure you’re properly loaded.
