A group of researchers has developed a new type of displaythat allows the fingers to literally pull the image off the flat touch screen and manipulate it in space. The shape-changing display is part of a project calledGhost- Generic, Highly-Organic Shape-Changing Interfaces. Three years were spent on research and development. The universities of Copenhagen, Bristol, Lancaster and Eindhoven took part in the work.

Instead of glass in the new display they use lycra - elastic synthetic material. The depth camera registers the position of the fingers and the degree of pressure on the screen. Specially created computer algorithms to detect and interpret the depth data at the moment when the hand reaches for the display.

You can touch the image on the elastic screen with your fingers, grab it and pull it out of the screen. This is possible thanks to the technology of ultrasonic levitation.

Researchers talk about the broad scope of their technology. According to them, the displays, which are able to change their shape, will be available in five years. Now scientists are working on the application of this technology in smartphones.

In total, the program has created several prototypes of displays of irregular shape. One of them is able to generate tactile holograms...

Dubai is the country of technology and people here can easily afford any new technology available in the market without any second thought. And will use them to increase the beauty of their houses, shops, and their hotels etc.  which will help in attracting more tourist in the country.

Dubai never misses a chance to attract and surprise the world with its art of using technology. When the right art mixes with the technology it grabs the attention of every individual who is in reach. Dubai can teach the world the perfect combination of art and technology. The talent of exhibiting the technology is impressive.

It is impossible to forget the film, which was first released in  3D . Then he seemed to be the pinnacle of technology and exceeded all expectations. After some time, 4D came to replace this, and gave a lot of impressions and adrenaline.

For fans of such inventions, we have great news. A more interesting novelty has been released - 7D !

The idea of ??this last word in technology is that the viewer could not only see the images from virtual reality, but also contact them. A company presented an invention that reproduces realistic holograms of animals, landscapes and much more.

In addition,  7D  includes scent and tactile sensations. His goal is to completely immerse the viewer in virtual reality and create a sense of reality.

Now, this idea is still at the stage of refinement, but in some parts of Dubai there is already an opportunity to experience all the delights of this invention.

AI will help holographic technologies

As part of two new studies, scientists from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) used neural networks to reconstruct holograms. Both works not only demonstrate the level of development of holographic technologies, but also promise to open the door to medicine for these technologies, where they can make a real revolution.

The layering of artificial neural networks allows depth learning algorithms to analyze data offline. The technology has already demonstrated its effectiveness by the example of speech transfer from one language to another in real time, video capturing of images, as well as in many other tasks that a person had to cope with, who, by the way, also loses to algorithms in execution speed these tasks.

Since machine learning systems have acquired the ability to sort and analyze huge amounts of information much faster than people, it is not surprising that many different areas, including medicine, are beginning to show their interest in these technologies. Algorithms are already finding their use, for example, in diagnostic radiology, where they demonstrate their effectiveness in reading X-ray images, as well as searching for cancer cells that could be missed by doctors during scanning.

Holographic Technologies are no longer considered the way they used to be when they were considered more likely to be an object of science fiction than a practical tool.

Methods of deep learning, in turn, can help in this direction, said AidoganOzkan, a leading researcher. In his opinion, these technologies will open up new possibilities for visualization. In a press release from the University of California, Ozkan noted that such technologies could even lead to the development of completely new coherent image processing systems. The scientist believes that the UCLA developments can be used to further improve the technology and introduce support for other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as X-ray and optical radiation.

If we are waiting for the future, which we could see in science fiction in the last 40-50 years, then holograms in it will play precisely not the last role. Researchers, are not just trying to support this fantastic technology, they offer real environments for its application.

This is clear that the future is going to be more wonderful and excited and the things will be different and better from now everything will look more attractive and more advance imagine your smartphones with an image coming out off the display and who knows maybe “Siri” can also pop-out from the display when  calling her name on ios device.

We will keep ondoing more creative exhibitions, events… In a more futuristic way and will keep on sharing such interesting facts about the future world and latest technologies that will gonna happen in the coming era. So till then take a deep breathe and imagine the future with more advanced technologies.
