Speaking about sculpting, we can say that India without a doubt is a place of inspiration as our historical sculptures which adorns palaces, temples and caves, showcases the splendor of the vicinity and also depicts history intelligently through sculpture. Modern sculpture got its prominence during the year 1950 as artists started to target common audience by doing abstract art which would easily get by the understanding of everyone. Mr. Neeraj Gupta is a contemporary sculpture artist, and is very passionate about traditional forms of theme sculpturing. This passion is very prominent in his works.

Neeraj Gupta – believes that conventional sculpturing is still a robust form of artwork because it shows a standing way of life of the cultural, regional, and spiritual beauty of India. Therefore, his works are compelling extensions of Indian art forms like Rasa, Bhava and philosophical text but, he has intuitively transformed the traditional into current and modern forms. via his signature creations grotesque Heads, the artist explores the meaning of perceived fact and the creativity of human thoughts. His sculpting expedition started in 2003 after the success of his solo exhibition at Lalit Kala Academy in Delhi, after this there was no turning back for him. This exhibition was followed by numerous exhibitions and Solo shows at Indian Habitat Centre, domestic Airport of Indira Gandhi Airport in the year 2005.

In 2008, he launched his first show in Jehangir Art Gallery – Mumbai. His most memorable show was in the year 2011 where he showcased 100 years of Delhi at the Hungarian culture centre.

All these achievements made him the most extraordinarily acclaimed sculpture artist to obtain his very 1st award, the Sahitya Kala Parishad Award at the 28th Annual artwork Exhibition, by the govt.. of N.C.T. Delhi in 2004. This was not it he also went on to wow the countries abroad with his impressive work.
