Natural home remedies for fighting dengue this rainy season

by Dynamix Group Writer

No matter how funny it may sound but a small mosquito bite can lead to a life-threatening disease called dengue. As the monsoon season has already started in our country, many potholes and road-side puddles have become a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes.

Dengue is a viral infection that gets transmitted through mosquitoes belonging to Aedes aegypti specie. Whenever a mosquito bites an infected person, the virus enters that mosquito and then further gets transferred to the next person it bites; this way the cycle is continued.

Some of the early symptoms of dengue are:

  • Headaches
  • Frequent Vomiting
  • Rashes on the body
  • Swollen glands
  • Pain in eyes

The above-mentioned symptoms can be commonly noticed in regular infections too, which is why dengue is often not detected at its early stages. The worst part is that it spreads in the entire body at a fast pace and specifically attacks the white blood cells that protect our body whenever it is under the attack of a viral infection.

Within a day or two, it leads to severe symptoms such as stomach pain, blood in urine or stool, difficulty in breathing and rashes on entire body. Most often, a patient is advised to get admitted in the hospital but if you can set up a health-care center at home then it is perhaps the best for the patient. You will have to arrange for the right medical equipment, a bottle of blood and glucose, and a full-time palliative care nurse.

Some home remedies can also work out wonders in case of dengue. Let’s have a brief look at them.
