My Freedom Rant, inspired by Jesse Ventura
As a young man I remember hanging out with friends. Nobody came along and told us to move it because we were loitering. Hopping into a car and cruising was easy as a collection of pocket change would easily put gas into the tank.
Police officers were our friend not some one to be watched out for. Folks said “Hi” to strangers and helped if needed. Hitch-hicking was a social past time and never took more than 5 minutes to get you a ride.
Heck, popping across the border for a 2 or 3 day cruise was no big deal and nobody questioned you motives for having a cool time in a country that was not yours. Have you tried crossing a border lately or come home from a trip abroad? It’s not the same any more.
Nope, no more. 9-11 was the icing on the cake that turned a nation of people who were unstoppable into a bunch of whimpering cowards to scared of their own shadow to say NO to the injustices that are now being perpetrated on our own population.
Loitering will get you arrested, as will hitch-hicking because nobody other than a police officer will give you a lift. Say “Hi” to a stranger and see the looks you get and who today stops to, lend a hand?
Video surveillance is everywhere, and used to watch and track you. The reasons for doing anything can and are questioned and you better have a good answer. Even flying now has you being treated worse than a criminal with full body scans, physical body searches and arrests if you do not comply.
People are being encourages to report “suspicious” behavior to law enforcement agencies just like the populace in NAZI Germany was encouraged to report their fellow countrymen in 1935.
Since 9-11 almost 50% of your civil liberties are GONE! There are now governmental agencies who have the authority to take you from your home, hold you indefinably without a charge and it is up to YOU to prove that you have done nothing wrong, all in the name of national security.
Yes terrorism works, for a decade now 300 million Americans have been the hostages of their own government because of one act of violence by a foreigner. As long as it is a “them vs us” mentality our government will have a strangle hold on our lives
Isn’t it time we said “Enough” and got back to rebuilding our lives and our country to the glory it deserves? Isn’t it time we open our hearts and allowed humanity back in and kicked bureaucracy out!
It has been ten years of suffering, is it still worth it? Ask a “Proud American” Jesse Ventura what he thinks.

I don't think Jesse Ventura counts himself as a "proud" american anymore... lol I am right beside him, too. This country is going to hell in a hand basket and no one is brave enough to stop it. The people in power are reluctant to do anything to upset "big money" and they really don't give a sh*t about the rest of us. It's assinine!!! We the people need to band together and put a stop to the crap that our so called "government" is shelling out...... I could go on forever, but I won't. LOL
