Christmas cleaningThis is a tough period for moving. However, if you decided to move in your new house now, you have the great opportunity to make your house – a home. Because of this beautiful family holiday, you will be able to decorate everything from the beginning and feel your new house/flat like a real home of yours. Here, I will share a few Christmas tasks that you should perform when moving in.

The professional move out cleaning within Melbourne company also provides move in cleaning services. Move in cleaning is important, because you can't be sure that the last tenant has performed a deep cleaning before he moved out. If you want to be sure, you should definitely check if everything is completely cleaned by cleaning the house on your own or hiring professional cleaners to do that for you. Here, I decided to give a couple of tips on how to freshen and clean the curtains and blinds. People often skip them when cleaning their homes. Now, before Christmas, this task has to be done, because everyone will see your house trough the window. If the curtains, blinds and windows are dirty, your new neighbours won't be impress with your house maintenance skills.

How to Clean the Blinds

Blinds are easier to be cleaned. Curtains will be the bigger challenge. To clean the blinds, just vacuum using the small brush attachment. Dust using a clean cloth. The professional move out cleaners recommend not using water, because you may cause stains. I advise you to use cotton gloves or an old sock over your hand to clean horizontal blinds.

Best Way to Clean the Curtains

The worst side of the curtains is that they get dirty very quickly. That's why they should be cleaned regularly. If you use the old curtains that you rent/bought the house with, I advise you to change them or follow the cleaning method above.

1.Start by checking for any washing instructions. This could help you to learn the proper method of washing them without causing any damages.

2.Carefully remove from rods and remove all the hooks.

3.If there aren't any washing instructions, there are two ways of wash the curtains: hand-wash or gentle machine wash.

- If you decide to count on your old hands and washing “powers”, my advice is to use cold water and mild detergent. Wash each drape separately from the others using the bathtub.

- Using the machine to wash them is easier. Use warm or cold water, mild detergent and make sure that you don't overload the machine. Use a short delicate cycle.

4.The move out cleaning within Melbourne experts advise you to remove them from the machine right after the cycle ends, to avoid creases. If you have to iron them, you should always iron on the reverse side.

5.To keep them clean, you should vacuum them when performing the regular cleaning routine. Preventing things from happen is the best way to extend the life of your curtains and blinds.
