Microneedlingby PFC Singapore Facial Consultant What is Micro-needling?
Micro-needling is a form of facial treatment that requires small needles to be inserted deeper-than-usual through the outer layers into the skin. The purpose is to cause a puncture or a minor injury to the skin in order to allow the natural regeneration process to occur. When this happens, the skin will respond by producing new collagen rich tissues. The new skin tissue membranes will then appear in a much fresher and better tone, texture and would even become firmer.
The apparatus used for this process resembles a small pen like device. The process would involve pricking of the designated skin areas evenly with the device and followed by application of anesthetic on the affected surfaces. The process takes less than an hour each and cost between $700 to $1000 for each session.
The common skin ailments that are targeted using this form of face treatments are usually acne problems, wrinkled skins and even for removal of unsightly stretch marks on parts of our body.
As much as this is a minor non-invasive treatment, there may still be some side effects that must be taken note of. They are usually injuries of the outwardly appearance like bruises, bleeding or even an infection that may occur if proper sanitizing procedures are not followed promptly.
As compared to the facial treatment plans that the usual masses take up, like the normal facial wash; facial massage; or even acne scar removal; Micro-needling is very much a newer process that has taken the facial arena by a storm in recent years and the craze fanfare over this single beloved procedure looks to be dominating the facial skin care scene for quite a while in the coming years.
