Mercedes MB STAR C4 multiplexer 3 basic packages

The Mercedes Benz MB Star C4 Series of Diagnostic Tools will do ALL MB Cars & Trucks, both Gasoline & Diesel Engines from 1989 to 2014. ALL digital modules are covered. For Analog modules prior to OBDII, the "Flash Code Reader" is still required. 

 

There are 3 Basic Tiers of C4 Scanners:

 

1)   The Complete Package 

This includes the Scanner, all cable connectors, plus Laptop and WiFi capability

 

Price is from $750 to $1,000 USD including shipping

2) Scanner with WiFi and Hard Disk Drive, and All Cables

Has everything that Option (1) above has, except you need to provide your own laptop. 
A HDD (Hard Disk Drive) is included for either an IBM/Lenovo T30, or the faster DELL D630, or an external HDD for all other laptops.

Price is at the $550 USD level, including Shipping


3) Scanner with Hard Disk Drive, and All Cables, but without WiFi Capability

Has everything that Option (2) has except WiFi capability
You also need to provide your own laptop
HDD is supplied as in Option (2) 

Price is $350 USD, including Shipping

I decided on Option (3) for $359 including Free Shipping via DHL.

I was able to source a good, used DELL D630 laptop with Core Duo 2.20 GHz CPU, and 3 GB RAM, A/C adapter-charger, RW DVD Burner, with Windows Vista Business O/S-COA for $55 USD from a local Canadian Seller. 

When the MB STAR C4 package arrives, all I'll need to do is swap out the HDD on the DELL D630.
