Meet the Reliable and Durable Mazda Scrum

The Mazda Scrum is available in a five-door minivan and 2-door Kei truck with a four-wheel / two-wheel-drive layout. It is also known as Autozam Scrum which was first introduced in June 1989 solely for the Japanese market. The Mazda Scrum minivan offers great durability, quality, excellent features, handling, and a comfortable as well as spacious cabin. 


Interior and Exterior 

The Mazda Scrum minivan is a Kei class vehicle with a robust structure, space, and comfortability for both passengers and cargo. It can be used for commercial or family purposes, especially for a large family. It features a spacious interior with enough head and legroom as well as a large boot space with a removable passenger seat and a wide opening at the rear door to easily load and unload cargo. Also includes air conditioning, power door locks, power steering, power windows, instrument panel box with AM/FM radio, two speakers, glove box, door pocket, and big sliding doors with vertical handles. The safety features include an anti-lock braking system, lane departure warning, dynamic stability control, traction control, high beam headlights, hill-hold control, and emergency stop signal. For the exterior, it comes with multi-reflector front fog lights, large LED headlights, front bumper, front metallic grille, and lower grille. The rear side includes rear fog lights, LED taillights, aluminum wheels, and all-white exterior body color.

 

Engine and Transmissions

The first-generation Mazda Scrum was powered by two-wheel/four-wheel drive and a 3-speed automatic or 5-speed manual gearbox with 550cc F5B engines rating 34 PS (25 kW) to 52 PS (38 kW) with intercooler turbo then after nine months changed to 660cc rating 38 PS (28 kW) to 58 PS (43 kW). The second-generation Mazda Scrum was released in 1991 with a 657cc F6A SOHC straight-3 producing 50 hp and 61 hp with an intercooler and turbocharged engine. In 2013, the Mazda Scrum minivan was fitted with a 660cc R06A DOHC straight-3 engine producing 36 kW (48hp) at 5800 rpm, 62 Nm at 4000 rpm with fuel consumption of 19 km/L paired with a five-speed automatic transmission.
