McMahon-Kreke

Emily McMahon and Tony Kreke, both of Teutopolis, were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Teutopolis. The Rev. Chris Brey officiated at the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Brent and Margo McMahon of Teutopolis. Parents of the groom are Mike and Linda Kreke of Teutopolis.

Grandparents of the bride are Joe and Mary Lou Gier of Effingham and the late Larry and Martha "Mert" McMahon. Grandparents of the groom are the late Charles and Gertrude Kreke, the late Henry and Clara Zumbahlen and the late Selma Zumbahlen.

The bride chose Jenny McMahon of Teutopolis as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gina Kreke of Taylorville, Jodi Isley of Teutopolis, Mary Jo Kreke of Teutopolis, Stephanie McMahon of Teutopolis, Ashley Niebrugge of Greenville, Brooke Ruholl of Teutopolis, Kendra Hardiek of St. Louis, and Lindsey Runde of Teutopolis. Mindy Wendt of Sigel was the bridal assistant.

Flower girls were Lily Kreke of Teutopolis, Emma Isley of Teutopolis, and Lauren Gier of Wakefield.

The groom chose Ed Kreke of Teutopolis as his best man. Groomsmen were Dean Kreke of Teutopolis, Dale Kreke of Teutopolis, Jim Kreke of Teutopolis, Mitch McMahon of Teutopolis, Brady McMahon of Teutopolis, Dustin Ruholl of Savoy, Garrett Niemerg of St. Louis, and Jason Runde of Teutopolis. Honorary groomsman was Tommy Ordner. Blake Gier of Wakefield was the ring bearer.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Kim Deters and Darren Will.

Ushers were Eric Isley of Teutopolis, Nick Tarter of Teutopolis, Eric Parker of Teutopolis, and Will Clark of Shelbyville.

A reception was held at the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Hall. Entertainment for the reception was provided by Josh Buchanan.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Teutopolis High School, a 2012 graduate of SIU-Carbondale with a bachelor’s in Biological Science and plans to graduate in May from Indiana State University with a master's in Physician Assistant Studies.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Teutopolis High School and a 2011 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Sports Studies. He is employed at St. Anthony High School as a physical education, driver's ed and religion teacher and Jr. High baseball coach and high school girl's assistant softball coach.

After a honeymoon trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Teutopolis.
