The story of Valentine's Day starts in the third century with a harsh Roman head and a modest Christian Martyr. The ruler was Claudius II. The Christian was Valentinus.

Claudius had requested all Romans to love twelve divine beings and had made it a wrongdoing deserving of death to take up with Christians. In any case, Valentinus was devoted to the goals of Christ; not even the risk of death could keep him from rehearsing his convictions. He was captured and detained.

In the midst of the latest weeks of Valentinus' life, an astonishing thing happened. Seeing that he was a man of taking in, the prison guard asked whether his daughter, Julia, might be passed on to Valentinus for lessons. She had been outwardly weakened since origination. Julia was a truly young woman with a smart identity. Valentinus read stories of Rome's history to her. He depicted the universe of nature to her. He taught her number juggling and enlightened her regarding God. She saw the world through his eyes, believed his astuteness, and discovered solace in his calm quality.

"Valentinus, does God truly hear our supplications to God?" Julia asked one day.

"Yes, my youngster, He hears everyone."

"Do you know what I petition God for each morning and consistently? I implore that I may see. I need such a great amount to see all that you've to let me know about!"

"God does what is best for us on the off chance that we will just have faith in Him," Valentinus said.

"Gracious, Valentinus, I do accept! I do!" She stooped and got a handle on his hand.

They sat discreetly together, each asking. All of a sudden there was a splendid light in the jail cell. Brilliant, Julia shouted, "Valentinus, I can see! I can see!"

"Applause be to God!" Valentinus shouted, and he stooped in supplication to God.”

On the eve of his passing Valentinus created a last note to Julia, urging her to stay adjacent to God. He checked it, "From your Valentine." His sentence was done the next day, February 14, 270 A.D., near an entryway that was later named Porta Valentini in his memory. He was secured at what is right now the Church of Praxedes in Rome. It is said that Julia planted a pink-sprouted almond tree near his grave. Today, the almond tree remains a picture of enduring love and friendship. On each February 14, Saint Valentine's Day, messages of affection, love, and devotion are exchanged far and wide."  To know more you can also visit Valentine day messages 2016.
