Mattress Reviews
by Sleep Sherpa Sleep ExpertWhat Makes Sleep Sherpa’s Mattress Reviews Different?
Since starting this site, I have been able to conduct dozens of mattress reviews from online mattress start-ups to big-name retail brands. This site started as a way for me to learn more about what makes a quality mattress and share my personal findings in hopes you will find the right mattress for your needs the first time.
But don’t just take my word for it. Over the years, I have worked with top-notch engineers to develop some proprietary tests and tools to give you even more information about how these mattresses work. But don’t take their word for it either. I also opened a showroom for people to try out some of these brands first hand and let me know what they think.
All of this feedback helps me make better recommendations for you. Instead of buying 20 mattresses that you think may work and returning 19, I want you to get it right the first time. An unwanted outcome of free trials that these companies offer is excessive returns that creates an environmental hazard.
Below are mattresses that I have personally tested. This is an overwhelming list. Although choice is a good thing, too much choice leads to decision fatigue. I want to serve as your guide through the mattress buying journey.
There are a few brands that really stand out in terms of quality, construction and trial period. An example is Brentwood Home. They make all their mattresses in their own factory in California. Others have outstanding trial periods and warranties. Make sure to check out my Best Mattresses 2019 list to see which mattress brands are making some noise in the industry.
Also, just about all of these mattresses are compatible with an adjustable bed. This means you can get the most out of your mattress. Check out my Adjustable Bed reviews here.
MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES
This is the largest category of mattresses. Many of the new startups created a mattress in a box made of layers of glued foam with the advent of roll packing machines that could compress the foam into boxes that can be shipped via UPS, FedEx or a similar carrier.
