Manali....the hills with a heart
The breathtaking valleys, magnificent snowy peaks, picturesque landscape views and the breath of fresh air, all of these are found in India’s one of the most darling holiday destinations till date, Manali. Manali is a town, which is pretty much a high-altitude area, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Manali is a pretty popular holiday destination among many places in India.
Manali, along with its natural beauty, it has come up with many ways to charm the tourists. It has developed into a pretty famous adventure sports place. Rishikesh has always been a popular place for river rafting. But Manali, in terms of adventure sports, is actually a few more degrees higher than that. The river rafting in Manali leaves one with a mind-blowing experience. Adventure sports are such a thing that makes one’s adrenaline rush very fast and the result is a fantastic version of oneself. Such is the situation, best described for a paragliding experience in Manali. Just the thought of it is enough for someone to be on the ninth cloud. But the activity, actually, in literal terms takes one to the ninth cloud. To jump off an 8,000ft-10,000ft cliff and coming down on to the land by gliding on the air, sounds and feels mesmerizing.
With the tourism blooming in, resorts in Manali have taken things pretty seriously. They make sure that they may not be the sole reason for a tourist to come to Manali initially, but when the tourist has spent some quality time in the town and has definitely fallen in love with the place, it may become one of the reasons for falling in love with Manali.
Skiing is another pretty popular activity in Manali. Skiing through the snow, with the valleys calling towards themselves is an experience that is one of a kind. This kind of experience in India might be the best one in Manali. For the young at hearts, there are some beautiful trekking routes which find their gateway through Manali, like, Lahaul and Spiti. They say trekking on to these routes open up a new world of appreciating natural beauty and teach ways of absorbing such things and taking them away in their minds for peace throughout life.
Apart from the adventure sports, there is more to Manali. The town is pretty rich with temples and monasteries. The most famous temple in Manali is the Hidimba Devi Temple. It was built in the 1500s. It is built out of the wood of the trees the town is surrounded with, Cedar, and the carvings inside the temple are to glance upon. The other one is the famous Tibetan Monastery. It is so beautiful that the air around it speaks a lot about its positivity. The river Beas is not be forgotten. Rather the best way to have the best of the town is to be in one of the resorts in Manali near the river, and Manali will be gorgeous.
