Conducted sightseeing Manali tour by Volvo:

Kinnaur, the north-eastern frontier district of Himachal Pradesh lies on the banks of the Sutlej River. Its unique characteristics are its language, historical background and natural phenomenon.

Legendary Kinners, it is described by the epic stories that they are heavenly musicians and they depict sorrows of their pathetic life in their singing and dancing. More than a hundred festivals are celebrated in a year. It is believed that the Pandavas spent here some time during exile in Kinnaur and from here they moved towards the Kailash Parvat.

Lahaul & Spiti:

The Lahaul & Spiti rugged valleys lie at a height of (910 to 1475 metres) above sea level. Spiti is a cold mountain desert, on the Tibetan border and flanked by the Kullu district. Lahaul and Spiti are known for their monasteries, locally called Gompas, which are big repositories of Buddhism. Khardong, Shashur, Gemur and Guru Ghaantal are some of the famous monasteries. Some of the interesting features of the flag-bedecked Gompas are the huge barrel like prayer drums which revolve at a slight touch and are rotated by Lamas as they perambulate these lobbies in grave meditation. There are also ornate paintings of saints and demons and a Buddha of a giant size swathed in purple and white, with many attendant effigies of lesser divinities.

These monasteries also serve as centers of cultures and have influenced religious life of the people for centuries. They also testify to the powers in cultural links that exist between the Buddhist centers in India and the entire Buddhist world.

The people of the area are religious and an atmosphere of spiritual delight pervades the entire valley. Their religious and economic life is inextricably entwined with the monastic order.
