Man shot by police after confrontation outside Campbelltown train station
NSW Police have shot a man who ran at them with a knife outside a train station in Sydney's south west.
The ABC understands officers were chasing a man down a Campbelltown street when he pulled out a large knife and confronted them.
The man is believed to have been shot in the stomach before he was taken in an ambulance to Liverpool Hospital for medical treatment.
