Making Money on The Internet

The type of business model you take up online
doesn't matter, the truth remains that you cannot
make money online if you do not sell something or
provide a service. Anytime you hear that someone
is making money online then it simply means that
the person is selling something online or providing
a service.

                                                                                                                      Let us take a look at some hugely profitable
Internet businesses out there to see if I’m right
with my claim or not. We are going to take a look
at the following Internet businesses.

1. Amazon.com - Amzaon is a very profitable business.
They are the biggest online booksellers. They did
not stop at selling books. You can buy gift items,
electronics, CDs and even groceries on Amazon.
The money they make is from the sales of the
products on display on their website.

2. Jumia.com.ng - Jumia provides almost same service
with Amazon.com but they are targeting Nigerians,
Egyptians and few other countries. They make money
by selling lots of different product ranging from
movies to electronics, wears and many others.

3. Google.com - Google is the largest Internet
search portal and they are very profitable. What
do they sell? When you carry out a search on google,
you will notice that most times, there will be two
different sets of results. The ones on the left
hand side (known as the organic search results)
and the small ones coloured blue on the right.
Those ones on the right hand side are adverts
placed there by other website owners and they pay
per click, sometimes as high $1 per click. It is a
huge money maker for Google. They are selling
targeted advertising to other website owners and
they get paid handsomely for it.
                                                                                                                                                              4. Facebook.com - We all know facebook so no stories.
Take a look at the ads on the right hand side. The
model works like Google. Selling ad spaces on pay
per click basis

5. Zappos.com - Zappos.com is an online shop currently
based in Henderson, Nevada, USA. In 2009, their revenue
was USD$1 billion. Did you read that well? That is a
BILLION. With a “B”. How do they make money? They sell.
What do they sell? Shoes! Check it out yourself.

You can see from the list above that even the TOP
companies are selling to make money online, There
is no way you can make money online without having
to sell something unless you are on the internet
to defraud people. Lets also take another look to
a small group of people like us making money online.

6. Acnenomore.com - Mike Walden the owner of this
website is using it to sell eBooks and videos on
how to remove acne(pimples and black-spot) from
any part of the body and he is making millions of
dollars from it while at the same time helping
people to solve the problem of removing pimples
and spots on the body.

7. Fatlossfactor.com - This website offers solution
and guidelines in form of eBook and videos for people
wanting to lose fat and this has always been a hot
market.
3. Facebook.com/OfficialVictoriasSecret - Sells women
wears on Facebook.

services to make their money.
Here is the lesson: If you want to make money online,
sell something online. Anyone making money online is
selling something online. If you don’t sell online,
you can’t make money online, this is evident in the
examples I have shown above, all of them are making
money online because they are selling or providing
a service.
