Make beautiful geodies at home

Geodes are beautiful crystals and you can use them to make decorations or handmade jewelry. But did you know that you can make them at home with ingredient that are found in every house. See what you need to make these amazing geodes.

You need:

1. Borax

2. Water

3. Food coloring

4. Big bow, glass or jar

5. Dish cloth

6. Butter knife or skewer

7. Ribbon

8. Pipe cleaners

First give a shape to the pipe cleaner, and you have to know that the color of your crystals depends on the color of the pipe, so if you have only white, you can dye them with the food coloring. Tie the pipe with the ribbon and put it on a skewer or butter knife and install it on the bow or jar without let it to touch the edges.

Put the water to boil and pour it into the jar, carefully add the borax and food coloring in share you desire and stir until the borax completely dissolves. Cover this with dish cloth and let it sit for the night. And here is the - the magic happened, you have your own homemade and amazingly beautiful geodes. Carefully remove the ribbon and if desires you can give them a coat of clean nail polish.
