List of equipment you can use at home for exercising

by Tyler P. A Passionate Blogger - Entertainment

You can launch an effective training and exercise program using only what nature gave you. There are hundreds of equipment available in the market that you can use at home to stay fit and bring your body back in shape.

Here is the list of most common products that you buy and turn your home into a mini gym:

Treadmill

This machine enables you to walk and run indoors. Some models come with a flexible, less joint-jarring surface. The treadmills are the motorized treadmill. Before buying one, look for a machine that has a strong motor, a belt that is long and wide enough for your stride, a strong frame, side rails for safety, and an emergency stop device. The controls should be easy to use and allow you to change them whenever you want.

Stationary bicycle

An exercise bike is easy to use and is perfect for cardio training. This stationary bicycle provides an excellent cardiovascular workout. Look for a bike that is comfortable, has adjustable seat and toe clips, and a meter to calculate your calories.

Cross-country ski machine

This machine allows you to exercise both your arms and legs simultaneously. Look for a machine that comes with a comfortable handle for hands, big enough ski pad for your feet, and has a monitor to calculate the progress.

Ankle weights

These are best for strength exercises like the hip extension and side leg raise. Look for ankle weights that have padded cuffs with pockets design to hold 1 pound weight bar to add as you progress. Ankle weights usually weigh around 5 to 10 pounds. A single cuff may be enough, depending on the type of exercise you do.

Exercise mat

An exercise mat is a must if you want to exercise at home. It allows you to do crunches, squats, push-ups, and many more exercise without hurting your back. Look for a nonslip, well-padded mat for floor exercises.

Resistance bands and tubing

Resistance bands or tubing are used for full-body training and strength workout. Attractive features may include lightweight, low cost, easy to store, and portability. As with weights, you can measure how challenging the resistance is by counting the number of reps you can do. If you can do more than 12 reps, than the resistance is too low, or if you are not able to complete 8, then is it too high.

Positioning your hands or feet closer together or farther apart before starting an exercise helps vary resistance.

Altitude Training Mask

Altitude training mask helps in strengthening your breathing muscles – your diaphragm and your intercostal muscles. Just like any other muscle, you can also train your breathing muscles and push their performance. An altitude training mask works like a dumbbell for your breaking muscles. The mask helps in adjusting the resistance level while inhaling exactly to the level you need. The higher the resistance your breathing muscles have to cope, the stronger they become.

If you are looking for Altitude Training Mask, try searching the internet for local or online sellers of altitude training masks.

Wand massager

After stressful training sessions, it is important to relax your muscles. If you are having sore or stiff muscles, then a wand massager will give you an instant relive. Hitachi Magic wand massager has a flexible neck and it easily adjusts to any angle, which makes it perfect for reaching trigger points.
