Liquid syrup manufacturing plant—an overview

by Mike Jonson SEO

Liquid syrup manufacturing plants are crucial elements in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of oral liquids. It is specially designed to take care of critical factors that directly affect the quality of the liquids produced. Hence an ambient condition is maintained throughout the process.

Minimum manual handling of Liquid and effective cleanness during manufacturing are two key factors that are taken care of while handling the liquids. Effectively utilizing the workforce, it maintains decent quality during products.

Parts:

v  The Liquid syrup manufacturing plants include the following components:

● Sugar Syrup Vessel

● Manufacturing Vessel

● Storage Vessel

● Control Panel

● Product Piping

● Working Platform

● Filter press

v  The working process includes the following steps

a)      The Sugar Syrup Vessel, supplied with high-speed stirrer and electrical heating (In small model) or steam heating facility (In bigger size model) are used depending on the liquid volume.

b)      The sugar syrup is prepared at the required temperature by adding water in a high pressure, vacuum chamber and is transferred to Manufacturing Vessel.

c)      During emulsification, the product is re-circulated through Liquid Transfer Pump. Then it is discharged in the storage vessel.

d)     The pump then transfers the liquid to the float tank, which is connected to the filling machine.

Advantages:

Ø  This plant comes, within-built electrical control panel with digital temperature indicators that allow one to control temperature and set timers digitally.

Ø  Due to the centralized operating panel installed where one operator can appropriately operate it.

Ø  As the material transfers are done by vacuum or by transfer pumps, there is little chance of contamination, and stringent handling conditions can be maintained.

Working Principle of the filter press:

The unfiltered liquid is fed into the filter under positive pressure. As the pressure is increased, the filter holds larger particles and lets the clear filtrate to pass through. As a result, a filtered, clear liquid is obtained.
