There are many benefits associated with drinking beverages from leaves belonging to Theaceae family like Lipton Tea. Some of the benefits include: it contains flavonoids, it helps with hydration, and it produces positive physiological effects. Flavonoids are dietary compounds found in tea, wine, cocoa, fruit and vegetables. They are believes to help maintain certain normal, healthy body functions and also affect the color and taste of the food. If an individual has a diet rich in flavonoids is generally associated with helping maintain normal, healthy heart function. All drinks other than herbal, such as black, green, oolong and white Lipton Tea naturally contain between 100-300 mg of flavonoids per serving. The name of these components is “catechins” which are found in the plants which are called as ‘Camellia sinensis’ scientifically. They help give this fluid its color and flavor and help out with heart health while they are at it. Lipton Tea is not processed very much and therefore it retains the majority of the catechins. Another healthy and beneficial component of this beverage is the fact that it helps with hydration. Concentration, alertness, speed and sports performance are all factors that are dramatically influenced by an individual’s level of hydration. Even though there is a myth that this hot syrup can cause dehydration due to its caffeine, the opposite is actually true. Since women are supposed to drink about 74 fluid ounces per day and men are recommended to consume 100 ounces per day this zero calorie liquid can be a great substitute for water from time to time. The effects of dehydration include hunger, muscle cramps, headaches, lack of focus, irritability, and other negative side effects. People often eat when they are thirsty because their body confuses the signal for hunger. Staying hydrated will provide a whole new level of energy. The positive physiological effects produced by Lipton Tea are other benefits.

Research shows that black and green tea help people maintain normal, healthy heart function as part of a diet that is consistent with dietary guidelines. Research suggests that drinking 2 to 3 cups per day of black or green tea may help support normal, healthy vascular function. It is thought that the flavonoids contribute to this. Studies found that drinking these hot but refreshing drinks may help maintain normal focus and alertness throughout the day. The two compounds in Lipton Tea most likely responsible for these effects are L-theanine, an amino acid found almost exclusively in tea, and caffeine. This drink can be a great choice for people those are concerned with weight control. As long as milk and sugar are not added the beverage has zero calories and much more flavor than water. Individuals may see a noticeable difference in weight if they are currently consuming many sweetened beverages per day and then they switch over to unsweetened, zero calorie variant of this beverage. They taste great but do include calories. It is important to make the distinction between the two types of drinks. It is nice to know that there are alternatives for water.
