LG Optimus Pro G is entered into another large potential market i.e. India where they have a huge potential to get maximum. The price of the device for now is 42,500 rupees. As far as the features of the device are concerned, it has 5.5 inch display which is really high definition. Also, the device has 13 megapixel rear cameras which mean it supports video recording in high definition. It has 32 gigabytes of an internal memory which can be extended further to 64 gigabytes if the memory card is being used. The latest Google’s Android mobile software Jelly Bean is running on the device.

Fourth generation telecommunication networking is being supported by the mobile which means fast internet speeds. Market analysts are of the view that the LG device has the potential to bring back the lost track of the LG market in India. Right at that time, LG isn’t the top selling handset makers in the Indian market because it had never being able to successfully communicate device features to its customers. This view is being shared by an analyst working at Cybermedia Research ‘Tarun Pathak’.

LG do compete with Samsung and Nokia, but the marketing strategy devised was never as effective as the competitors do have always. LG prices and specifications are really good, but they lack in proper marketing. Soon Kwon who is the managing director of LG in India is of the view that the smart phone will definitely get the large following due to the big screen size (5.5 inch display).

Optimus G Pro is placed in a class ‘phablet’ a combination of phone and a tablet along with screen sizes from 5-7 inches. Such devices are readily being accepted in India as telecom operators are offering high speed internet. Analysts too are of the view that these phablets are better as you can use them for calls like phone and can use it like tablet for internet needs. Also, the target set for the tablet is eight million which is eight times from 2012.

A busy market of India dominated by Samsung Galaxy Note, Note 2 and recently S4 launch in April; LG has to face the music. Not only LG phablets but there are many other phablets ruling in Indian market like, Sony Corp Xperia Z, Spice, Micromax, and Lava. Therefore, LG is good in comparison to other phablet due to its specifications or features.
