Having the business is something nothing to be proud about but having it running successfully is a totally different kind of feeling altogether. But then I came across another feeling that left me in spirits for quite a few days.

Seriously after all the tsunami my business could take the question was if I could be able to manage to topple through all of it & make it alive & kicking again for myself & my business.
At the start of my business I did commit through some mistakes, who doesn’t we are not meant to be perfect right ? All we need to do is get the pieces together & make the process look perfect from all perspectives. I would like to share across few mistakes I did, so as you all can be informed about the same.
1. Hiring up of many professionals
I hired so many industry professionals for the task that could have been done with the small team who shares the same amount of zest & goals towards the organization. It looks nice to have your office swarmed up with different faces & people from different backgrounds & culture but is it really in the favour of business plan? It might not be the case always so before gearing up your HR Team regarding the hiring of the human resources, give it a thought what is actually means for the organization.
2. Today’s Mantra of Successful Organization : Work Hard & Play Harder
As you get it already, we didn’t do it & results were bound to show up some day & they did while at the crisis. I made my team boring with all work no play, we hardly get to know each other of sorts, so to build the healthy relationships between the employees there has to be alot of activities you guys can do together so that the team can get a chance to know you better as a person which would further help you build a stronger team always.
3. Implementing the ideas would not be right from the start:
Without having prior experience of doing the same thing, one cannot be sure about how the process is going to reflect the output that is required & sometimes it takes months to figure out what has falls within the limits & what not. Always be prepared with some alternative path so that if you hit the dead end, you can shift your course but not the destination.
4. Overnight Success : Good Old Joke
If someone asks you to tell them one thing that doesn’t exist then just do not start counting down all the names of the Pokémons you always wanted to catch. Be realistic, overnight success is something that doesn’t exist & the clear reasons for it are known already. If you still don’t get it then I think you need to read the 3rd point again.
Now apart from what mistakes you can commit that could prove to be fatal for the business there are however a lot of things you should be doing to ensure the best for your business in terms of longevity & earning potential.
1. Always befriend with industry leaders for their expert opinions:
Well you just realized they are the industry leaders right? So, they must know a lot far better than you. So, it’s actually a good practice to follow such leaders. If you cannot meet them in person at least you can follow their social network channels where they are mostly active.
2. Keep learning, Keep Reading the industry news:
This way you won’t be left out of the new technologies & statistics that would influence your current industry. So why not have the added benefit of knowing it all by just reading news. Simple isn’t it?
3. Keep feeding the passion in your team:
It is your business, then it is your sole responsibility to feed the passion to your team to achieve those goals. Everyone is always hungry for the guidance & as the brain of the business it is your job to feed them.
4. For outsourcing any process, deal with the best out there in the market:
There would always be some tasks that are meant to be outsourced for having the better flexibility in your work & outsourcing such projects to the expert professionals is a simple way to ensure that the process is being taken care of by the best.
