Lesser-Known Tips to Design a Landing Page

by Anika Dixit Blogger

Landing pages are a core part of the sales process. If you are selling a product or a service, but do not require a website or an entire e-commerce store to sell those products, opt for a landing page.

You can run ads, email and content marketing and gain “leads” to arrive at the landing page. Once they arrive at your landing page, leads are made to focus. Buy the product or drop out of the sale? They need to make the decision and can be “converted” by the quality of content on the landing page.

So, as you can see, it all depends on the quality of the landing pages, and not so much on the CRM solution. Hence, in this blog, we give you 5 lesser-known tips about how to design a high-converting landing page.

5 Lesser-Known Tips to Design a Landing Page

  1. Do not have any other links on the landing page

Firstly, it is necessary that the landing page be distraction-free. That means, it should guide the user to take one action and one action alone, which is to buy or leave behind some contact information. This means you should not have any external links, redirects or other distracting information on the landing page. Keeping it free of these links, means the user is focused on one task alone.

  1. Mobile-friendliness

This needs to be reiterated so many times as it is rarely followed in practice. Do not have a landing page that isn’t optimised for mobile or tablet users. Your landing page needs to be responsive on all devices. Make sure the text and other parts of the design are properly designed for mobile.

  1. Compelling Content

To ensure that a landing page converts users, the content on the page should be compelling, honest and ratified by testimonials. Headlines should be attractive, yet informative. They should entice the reader and help them to make a decision regarding the product that is on sale.

  1. All important Information goes above the fold

A good landing page design uses the above-the-fold section to show most of the important aspects. For instance, the landing page above the fold has to show only the most important details of the product. It is advised that the user should not have to scroll down to learn more about the product or service.

  1. Keep Your Forms Short

Your sign-up forms should be short and shouldn’t ask for much information. Where a simple email id will suffice you do not have to ask for phone numbers and other details or information. It should typically take less than a minute to fill out any forms.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the landing page design should be compelling and very simple. The user should not be confused about what action to take while on the page. Moreover, a proper CRM solution should be integrated with the landing page to gain insights. This will help to boost sales.
