Being the most played card game of the world, Rummy has more than 200 variants and of course has a big history. Still some people find this game a bit hard to win, for them we are jotting down some Rummy tips and tricks, which are lesser known yet practical. You can easily use them to win more at 13 card rummy:
l Any card higher than 8 or 9, send it to trash: Here 8 or 9 means the value of your cards. Generally, cards greater than 8 and 9 are considered as high cards as they contain highest values. So, if they are not making a pure sequence or impure sequence easily then removing them from your hands is advised. This is because points of all cards that are not making any proper set or sequence according to rule of Rummy are calculated in the end, when someone else declares, so if there are high cards then more points will be taken out from your hand.
l Note your sitting position: Another tip on how to play Rummy so that you can win easily is to observe who is sitting on your both sides. If you know the players on the table, then it will be easier for you to not to sit after a strong player as he/she will observe all your moves and can block your winning. But, if you do not know any of the players in the game, then you have to take the risk of sitting at any position. However, if you will be before the smartest player, then you can block him/her from winning and defiantly increase your chances to win.
l Concentrate on your game play: Continuing to the previous point, it is suggested to focus on your game-play rather than watching the moves of your opponent and trying to block them. Because it is more important to win rather than blocking others in the game play.
l Try to Make Sets After Required Pure and Impure Sequences: If you are done with one pure and one impure sequence that is needed for 13 card rummy, then try to make sets over sequences as odd of maths of cards also favor sets than sequences.
