by Jack Arona Computer Service

The PlayStation 4 is one of the most demanded gaming and entertaining objects for the millennials. It provides you with 500GB of space on its hardware but due to the heavy sizes and formats of games, 500GB can seem like a little less space to a hardcore gamer. Are you bored of the games that you’ve been playing? OR You have consumed all the space and can’t download any new file? If your answer is “yes” for either of the questions, then we’d recommend you to delete your least favourite or least-used games. It will give more space to work with.

  2. Go to the Library and click on the game icon that you want to delete.
  3. Press the Options button on the PS4 controller.
  4. Submenu will open up. Click on Delete and the games will be gone.

Go to Settings

  1. After switching on your PS4, go to Settings on the right side of your Home screen.
  2. Tap on Storage and click on Applications.

# You will find the games and their sizes listed side-by-side. This will show you the most to least space consuming games in a series. This will help you to decide which games to keep and the ones you want to delete.

  • On the PS4 controller, click on the Options button.
  • Once the Submenu shows up, click on delete.

During all this process, if you are worried that your important file will be deleted or you have to purchase the games again or not? Then the answer is no. You need not to worry about either of these things.

Your saved files are always stored separately from the games install section and they don’t take much space. Make sure that you don’t include saved data while deleting the files, so that you can begin from when you left your system. About the re-purchasing, the files that you had downloaded and installed from online or on any digital platform then those files or games can be re-installed without having to pay a penny for them.

In case you are not willing to delete your precious games, you can anytime upgrade the hard drive of your PS4 by attaching an external hardware to it. This will not only increase the space but will also boost the performance of games. You will need to connect one of the three PS4 USB ports. You can upgrade to hard drives such as HGST 1 TB Travelstar 7K1000, Crucial MX300, etc. or you can opt for SSDs.
