Though I have been banging the good ol' head diligently for 17 years, it was about 3 years ago that I really started to improve exponentially in my drumming!
What had changed was the growth of drumming content on the Internet. Yeah, I know drumming content were already existent since way back, but only until recently, have we ever seen a flood of rich media contents such as videos!
Today, you can watch YouTube videos and really learn. Many drumming / drummer websites have great teaching videos where you can learn and watch in detail.
That's how I grew! By being able to watch the PROs teach!
And I have included videos (and will be doing on a on-going basis) for everyone to be able to improve their drumming. So 3 years ago, I started revisiting my techniques and styles. And from there, I have discovered scores of great training systems for drummers that covers every inch of drumming!
Drummers Must Stay At The Top of Their Game .. Or Lose Out To Those Who Will!
A drummer shouldn't be stale with their current ways, methods and styles. You can be still play your favorite music and still be a credible, top dollar drummer who is staying fresh, updated, challenged & experienced with rudiments, styles & music.
Every drummer also need to stay sharp. Lots of times, we tend to pick up certain bad habits and traits. That's why staying sharp will help us stay on the right drumming track! And to do that is to practise right all the time!
Every drummer must have the the attitude of doing what is right, not just what works! If not, they will be drown in their own mediocrity!
