As we all know that laser eye surgeries are done in order to correct the refractive errors of our eyes. There are different kinds of laser surgeries like LASIK, LASEK, PRK and EPILASIK. But, to know which eye surgery suits you the most, you need to check up with an Ophthalmologist. Here is a run down few of the eye surgeries carried out on patients.

1.LASIK - LASER IN SITU KERATOMILEUSIS
This happens to be one of the most common eye surgeries done on patients. An all laser lasik is a bit expensive surgery but it is preferred over others because of its high degree of precision and less frequency of complications.

2.EPI-LASIK ( Epi - LASIK)
EPI - LASIK does not involve the use of alcohol as in procedure and the flap in this surgeroy is thin and made up of epithelial tissue. The flap exists only in the epithelium layer in this surgery.

3. PRK (Photorefractive  Keratectomy)
PRK is usually adopted for people with thin corneas and is also known to be the second most popular surgery after LASIK. This surgery does not involve a corneal flap and hence  is preferred by many patients over LASIK. Though, it takes a while to recover from the surgery as compared to LASIK.

4. LASEK (Laser Epithelial Keratomileusis)
LASEK is different from the earlier two in the method where alcohol is used for corneal epithelium. It is usually preferred and opted for Patients with thin corneas.
