Comparing laptops and desktop computers have been a constant topic for tech bloggers as well as the device’s manufacturing company themselves. Despite sharing almost all the same functions, debates are still ongoing and the topic is still the same: “which electronic computing device is better, a laptop or a desktop computer.

Today, Goods.ph will join the debates. We will assess the difference between these two products and at the end of this entry; hopefully, we can make recommendations as to which device is better.

First of all, know that Goods.ph is one of the best sites for online desktop shopping as well as online laptop shopping.

Moving on to our product assessment. First off: desktops. These devices were the first to be commercially available. It possesses more power and features. Based on customer studies, desktops are much more user friendly. In addition, desktops are less expensive and easier to upgrade.

Desktop are designed to have a more comfortable keyboard typing and encoding system. Has better mouse control since it is one of its default hardware.  Generally, desktops have larger monitors but laptops are beginning to be standardized to have at least 15-inch screen display.

Most probably, desktop computers have a lower risk of theft. With this safety feature, a user will have lesser chance of losing important data.

However, a desktop comes with multiple cords and may sometimes be confusing especially without the right desktop computer knowledge. A desktop isn't very portable.  It is hard to move from one space to another. This device also takes up more space in a room than a laptop computer does. It has to have a sturdy stand which sometimes makes it hard for casing and cord cleaning.

We now go to laptops. This device is more portable. The main selling point of a laptop is that a user can take this computing gadget with him/her on several places. Laptops are battery powered which means that with the right battery capacity, it can still function without direct supply from an electrical source. A laptop computer makes personal and work much easier. A laptop enables a user to still finish encoding or typing at a high rate. Laptop computers enable you to check your email quickly during anytime of the day.

On the negative side, laptop computers don't have as much power as a desktop computer does. This device isn't as easy to upgrade as a desktop computer. Laptops are more prone to theft. A laptop computer is more difficult to fix because its inner workings are tightly compressed.

Desktop computers are generally more affordable and offer a better overall value.

Essentially, the choice comes down to portability versus functionality and savings. While desktop computers are more powerful, more budget friendly and more user-friendly, you have to give credit to laptop’s portability. If you think about it, laptops are also user-friendly since they enable a user to continue working anytime and anywhere.

So, for our assessment: buy the device that suits your needs. While laptops only offer one thing which is portability, we can’t also ignore the fact that being able to check e-mails, write manuscripts, chat and play both online and offline games as you please has more appeal than just power and functionality.

On the other hand, if you are a  need a more efficient computer that can provide better support for editing tools or heavy gaming processes, you may want to go with a desktop computer. At the end of the day, shopping for computing system greatly depend on your needs and what features are you willing to give up. And if you have made up your mind, Goods.ph is here to offer great prices for computing systems. Enjoy easy online shopping for desktops and laptops!
