Age
Candidates should be between the age of 20 and 28 years as on 1st October, 2012.
Educational Qualification
Candidates appearing for the CWE test conducted by IBPS must hold any
degree from a recognised university. He/she should also have computer
knowledge.
Changes that have been applied to the IBPS clerk exam are:
*There will be no offline exam.
*IDBI bank joined the list of public sector banks participating in the
IBPS clerk recruitment and will offer jobs to qualified candidates.
*Graduation has been made mandatory for applying to the clerical cadre exam conducted by IBPS.
*Common interviews for candidates who qualify the IBPS exam have also been introduced.
*Candidates will be offered jobs in the public sector banks based on their performance in interview.
With IDBI joining the 19 public sector bank the IBPS recruitment, the count of banks have now exceeded to 20. IDBI bank has announced 500 executive vacancies and the last date to apply for jobs is 23rd July, 2012. IBPS clerk recruitment always draws the attention of a large number of candidates aspiring for bank jobs in the 20 public sector banks. These banks regularly conduct the recruitment for the post of clerks and officers. According to the data made available by IBPS, over 44 lakh students registered for the IBPS clerk exam 2011 whereas the IBPS clerk exam results 2012 that were aired on 29th February, 2012 featured over 5.31 lakh students who were declared successful. The level of competition this year is expected to be higher in the upcoming IBPS exams.
