Chinmaya Tapovan Ashram:

Placed on only few kilometres away from Dharamshala, this ashram is popular for preserving the Hindu culture. Visit the ashram and get the spiritual feeling.

The Dalai Lama and Mcleodganj: Located on 10 minutes away from Mcleodganj, you can visit the central cathedral a residence of Dalai Lama. You can discover the Tibetan culture and centres of performing arts and many monasteries.

Kangra Museum: You will enjoy seeing the Kangra’s popular miniature paintings and a representative set of sculptures and anthropological things. The work of modern artists, sculptors, and photographers is a great experience for travellers visiting this place.  

Kunal Pathari: You should definitely see this rock temple. The legendary temple, which is located 3km away from the city, is a beautiful spiritual place and its surrounding view of pine forests and Dhauladhar ranges is amazing.

Raghunath Temple: The temple will surprise you with its huge statue of Lord Hanuman. This magnificent temple has a meditation hall, a teaching room, medical and recreational centre. You can spend some time here to gaze some beautiful view of the surroundings.

Dharamshala was found at the time of British Empire in 1849 and became a governmental centre of Kangra district in 1852. It was served as a health resort and relaxing place until 1947. However, later it was became a centre of trade, tourism and commerce. Most of the people here is Tibetan refugees which has preserved well of their culture. Therefore, it is a mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism, which is attracting travellers around the world.
