Kirsten Dunst wears a tiny mini dress on a trip to the store with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund

Unlike so many Hollywood starlets, Kristen Dunst has a reputation for dressing on the demur end of the spectrum when it comes to her fashion choices.

So it was a surprise to see the Spiderman actress out in public yesterday wearing a dress Platinum La Femme Style 16541 that barely covered her underpants.

The 30-year-old actress's white dress was also sheer - an odd choice for a shopping trip with actor boyfriend Garrett Hedlund.

The actress appeared to have a black bathing suit under the dress, meaning she could have dashed out quickly between time by the pool.

The couple was spotted leaving a mini mart in Los Angeles, with Hedlund opening the door for Dunst as she carried two grocery bags.

Kristen wore simple brown sandals and dark shades with her Short Strapless Junior Prom Dress , her hair loose around her shoulders.

Hedlund opted for a sporty look for their Sunday errand, wearing a white T-shirt over baggy blue Nike shorts, a blue baseball cap and fluorescent yellow sneakers.

The 28-year-old actor recently talked about turning down the role of Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

In an interview with MTV at the Toronto International Film Festival, Garrett confirmed that he had been approached about the role.

'But I was working on this film at the time. We shot the whole film in 23 days and I was really immersed in it,' he told MTV.
