Kashmir is known as heaven on earth.The beauty of this place can easily mesmerize anyone.The snow covered mountains lush green grass and dense forests, together they create heaven on earth.It is a beautiful place where time stands still.This is the reason every year thousans of tourists are attracted towards this paradise every year.There are beautifull rivers, lakes, apple orchids, saffron farms and warmth of civilians all these things make Kashmir trip memorable.

Land of kashmir produces fruits like apple, cheery, peach, pear and plum.Dry fruits like walnut, almonds and pine nuts are also grown here.

In the capital of kashmir dal lake, a freshwater lake located near the guest house is the place one must see.During winters dal lake gets frozen.Its amazing to see local kids playing cricket on frozen dal lake.One can rent a shikara boat ride and takes a trip of dal lake.Shikara ride takes you to places like floating gardents,mugal gardens and many more.The view of dul lake from shikara is truly enchanting.
Another place you must visit when in kashmir is gulmarg located in pir pangal range of mountains.In gulmarg people can have fun and experience winter sports like skeeing.

As kashmir is famous for its beauty and charm it is also famous for its delicious food.Rice is the staple food of kashmir since ancient times.Meat alng with rice is very famous in Kashmir.Kshmiri consume meat every day.Dishes like rogan josh, a must try dish for lamb and meat lovers.it was intrtoduces in india wth the coming of mugals in india.
Yakhni or lamb curry in yoghurt based curry is also very famous.Matsengand is yet another dish to seduce the taste buds of  non vegetarian lovers.It is a dish of minced meat balls cooked in a red hor smoking curry.Well there are a lot of signature kashmiri dishes for non vegetarian lovers.But if you are a vegetarian you also have some dishes to relish on, like modur plav.It is sweetened kashmiri rice prepared with cinnamon,saffaron, ghee and nuts anlong with cardamon.If you eat it once you wll be left for craving for more.Anothe dish i personaly like is dum aloo.These are deep fried potatoes cooked in yoghurt , ginger and hot spices awsome flavour and unforgettable aroma.
