Join the NDA as an Officer – For an Exciting Career in Defence
In many countries joining the military is compulsory, but not so in India.
Here, it is voluntary. But joining the defence sector is not an easy task.
This is more so if you want to join as an officer.
One of the best routes to adopt if you want to get into one of the services - the army, the navy, or the air force as an officer is via the National Defense Academy or the NDA in short.
But not every can join the NDA. The academy has a set procedure consisting of written examinations, physical and psychological tests, and an interview followed by a rigorous medical checkup.
A candidate has to be an all-round personality to get through these tests.
An officer in the Indian Army who has joined through the National Defence Academy says, “The training for new recruits is very intense and difficult. They must be mentally and physically strong and in good health”.
Regardless of the tough nature of the training and work conditions, scores of volunteers are keen to join the defence forces.
Some of them look for a coaching centre to up their chances of getting selected.
