JKCET Medical 2016
JKCET Medical 2016 (formally known as Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test Medical) is a state level entrance test exam, hosted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). The exam is organised to provide enrollment to candidates in many medical courses such as BDS and MBBS programs under various private and Govt. Institutes of Jammu and Kashmir medical colleges.
The criteria of eligibility for this entrance exam is listed below:
- Aspirant must have domicile of J&K State as stated in Section 6 of the Constitution of J&K.
- The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary Certificate examination (12th) or its correspondent examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English as subjects with minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC) and 45% for candidates from PH).
The JKCET Medical 2016 exam comprises of 2 papers namely Physics and Chemistry (paper 1), and Biology (paper 2). Paper 1 consists of questions from physics and chemistry subjects and duration of the paper would be 2 hours. Paper 2 contains questions from Biology and duration of this paper would be 1 hour. Each right answer will be rewarded with 1 mark and there is also negative marking of.25 marks for each wrong answer given by the candidate.
Exam Pattern.
The JKCET 2016 exam will be consisted of 2 papers; one for PCB group and another one for PCM group with multiple choice type questions. Paper A will consist of 120 questions (60 of Physics and 60 of Chemistry) and Paper B will be of Biology with 60 questions and paper C will be of Mathematics with 60 questions. Each question carries 1 mark and 0.20 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The JKCET 2016 exam will be asked in OMR pattern.
JKCET Medical 2016 Result.
It is expecting that the result will be announced in the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2016. In order to qualify the exam, candidates belonging to poor and backward category are required to obtain minimum 50% marks whereas this qualifying mark for other reserved category candidates is 40%.
