JCECE 2015: Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination

Jharkhand is the 28th state of the country and candidates from Jharkhand are well known for their knowledge and performance in various competitive exams. Candidates of Jharkhand those who are interested for admission in engineering courses can appear in JCECE 2015. It is an exam that is conducted only for the candidates of Jharkhand. The candidates those who qualify the exam will get a chance to take admission in engineering courses in one of the college of state. JCECEB, i.e., Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will be responsible for conducting the exam.

The exam will be conducted tentatively in First week of May 2015. It is conducted via offline mode only. Qualified candidates can take admission in B. Tech and B.E. courses. The candidates those who score more marks will have more chances to get admission in college of their preference. This article is basically for the candidates those who want to know and appear in the exam.

Eligibility Criteria For JCECE 2015

Candidates must satisfy all the eligibility criteria for JCECE 2015 before filling the application form. We are here providing various points for eligibility;

  • Candidates must be permanent residence of Jharkhand state.
  • There is no maximum age limit for applying in the exam.
  • Candidates will have to pass a complete medical checkup conducted by the board as only totally fit candidates will be admitted.
  • The candidates must have qualified XII class from a recognized board.
  • They must have studied maths, physics and biology/ chemistry in qualifying exam.
  • Minimum aggregate percentage of 45 is compulsory for general category candidates and 40 for reserved categories.

Application Form For JCECE 2015


Interested candidates will have to fill the application form for JCECE 2015. The forms will be released in the month of March 2015. The fees for the form can be paid via online or offline mode as well. They will have to pay 600/- for PCMB and 550/- for PCM exam. SC/ST candidates will have to pay 375/- and 275/- for PCMB and PCM exam respectively.
Online fees can be paid via debit or credit card or net banking whereas offline fees can be paid via e-challan. The steps that are involved in application process are as follows.

1. Registration: In this step candidates must enter all their details correctly. After doing so an application number and password will be sent to the candidates via their registered email id.
2. Filling the form: Candidates must login again by using these details and then fill the form with all the details asked there.
3. Upload the scanned images of passport size photo, signature and left thumb impression as per the instructions provided by the board.
4. Make application fees payment via one of the available modes.
5. Candidates can pay fees via online mode using credit or debit card or net banking as well.
6. Fees can also be paid via challan. Candidates will have to print the challan of Bank of India and pay fees at any branch of bank. Fees must be deposited in account number 499820110000015. Candidates must not forget to receive the payment receipt. Candidates will have to enter these fees details in application form.
7. Candidates can now take print of registration slip. Candidates must keep it safe as it might be asked at any moment during admission process.

Selection Process In JCECE 2015

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in JCECE 2015. It will be considered while providing admission to the candidates. Qualified candidates will be allowed to attend the counselling process. Candidates for counselling will be selected on the basis of cutoff marks.
