Is Online Mock Test Really Helpful for Students?

by Nayra Singh Education consultant

Online Mock Test” three words making frequent rounds in the highest echelon of education circle. They’ve been here for a decade now. Notwithstanding the general prejudice, one has to admit, it’s here to stay. As we all know online course are more accessible and definitely more affordable. At present, most recognized universities run their online courses, which are either free or cost very little compared to regular courses. So, the more important question now is whether or not it’s effective? Can a student benefit as much from an online course as he would from a regular classroom course?

The answer to these questions is both yes and no. It depends on how you look at it, what are your parameters for a good and complete education. One can argue it’s like teaching same things in a different way. Furthermore, it might be more effective, more concentrated, and more practical for a lot of students.

Building a case for online mock test is easy. It has lot going for it. From flexible timing to learning at your own speed, there are a lot of factors that make Online Test a great option for a lot of people. Leaving that aside, the sheer number of students that can attend an online course as compared to a regular classroom course is phenomenal. Unlike regular courses, anyone can attend an online course; whether it’s a working housewife or a high school dropout. Everyone has a right to education, a right to learn what they can’t/couldn’t learn due to various reasons such as money, time, and bad habits. Online Test is a real blessing for these people. The other factor that makes online education invaluable is its flexibility. Flexibility with courses, flexibility with timing, and flexibility with learning speed; all these are given with an online course. Recorded videos, online coatrooms, and digital study content provide a healthy substitute to regular classroom education.

Is online helpful for students? Yes. Even essential probably. Even so; will it replace traditional courses? The answer is a resounding NO. The soul of education is instilled in teacher-student relationship, in college atmosphere of collective competition, in experiencing and finding yourself among other people. No virtual education can match that. One doesn’t go to Harvard or MIT just for the course content. If that was the case, any good book would have been enough. You go to these prestigious college to evaluate yourself, to earn a social status, to make good friends and learn many other things that are as essential in life, if not more.

To rest my case, I think Online Test is great. It’s a great help for millions of people wanting to improve their education status. Even for those who are enrolled in a good classroom course, it’s a great helping content. It’s revolutionary in the sense that it has brought education to the comfort of your home, of your schedule. It’s helpful in understanding, in revising, in clearing your doubts. Although it takes a little soul out of learning process, yet even soulless education is better than none at all.
