by Shipra Sharma Kidney Treatment in Ayurveda
Nephrotic syndrome is a kind of kidney disorder that can't be kept in the category of a disease as it is a combination of health disorders that strike a person altogether. These health conditions are:

• Loss of extensive level of protein in the urine
• Lower albumin (a kind of protein) level in the blood
• Rise in cholesterol level in the blood
• Edema causing swelling in the blood

Nephrotic Syndrome Ayurvedic treatment can be the best solution to this health disorder.

How the condition occurs?

Damage in the filtering section (glomeruli) of the kidneys can lead to nephrotic syndrome. These filters work in a specific manner in which it only lets wastes and toxins substances out of the blood through urine. Besides, it holds back the necessary materials. But when the kidney filter gets damaged, it becomes incapable of carrying out its functions as mentioned above. As a result, the essential substances like protein starts leaking from the blood in the urine. Besides, many other health complications also can be seen in this health disorder. This condition is known as a nephrotic syndrome in medical terms.

What diseases affect the kidneys causing Nephrotic Syndrome?

Nephrotic Syndrome may take place due to several health conditions. Some factors can directly affect kidney filters, while others may be indirectly responsible for Nephrotic Syndrome. Some of the primary factors causing Nephrotic Syndrome to occur are as below;

• Diabetes
• Certain medicines
• Autoimmune diseases specially lupus
• Specific cancers
• Chronic infections
• Exposure to some toxins

As you can see that autoimmune disease, lupus, is also there in the list of causative factors for Nephrotic Syndrome, so if it is said that Nephrotic Syndrome is an autoimmune disease, it won’t be completely wrong. But it can’t be right in every case of Nephrotic Syndrome because the causes of Nephrotic Syndrome may vary from patient to patient.

What tests for diagnosis of Nephrotic Syndrome include?

To diagnose the condition of Nephrotic Syndrome, lab tests can be helpful. Some of those tests are described down;

Urine tests- The aim of performing urine tests is to reveal the exact amount of protein present in the urine. Sometimes, this test also helps in detecting if there is blood in the urine.

Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) test- This test includes the testing of blood samples that reveal the level of substances present in the blood. Some of those substances are albumin, creatinine, uric acid, blood urea, and so on.

Imaging tests- These tests may include Ultrasound, CT scan, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). These tests present the computerized pictures that help in detecting abnormality related to the size of the kidneys.

Kidney biopsy- It is a specific kidney test in which a kidney tissue is tested under a microscope to detect the functioning ability of the kidneys. This test is also useful in determining blood pressure.

A nephrologist may suggest a patient undergo the tests mentioned above so that he can detect the present health of the kidneys. If a patient undergoes these tests and his tests’ results indicate abnormal level or amount of parameters, it means there is something wrong with the kidneys, and they are not working the way they should. The condition also indicates that you need proper treatment to get relieved from the disorder and attain wellness again. Nephrotic Syndrome Ayurvedic treatment can be the best treatment for this kidney disorder.

How can Nephrotic Syndrome be cured efficiently?

For the treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome, Allopathic medicine can work partially but will not be suitable for a complete cure. Allopathy tends to suppress the complications or symptoms of a disease instead of working on the root causes. That’s why this treatment method can be helpful only in suppressing the difficulties that appear in Nephrotic Syndrome, and it doesn’t have the potential of reversing the condition. As a result, Allopathy can’t be taken as the best solution for Nephrotic Syndrome.
