So, first let discuss that how tanjiro become the demon king. lets jump to manga chapter according to chapter no 201 we see the back story of demon king muzan .
When muzan told that how death is always near him his heart has stopped many times when he is in mother womb, but when he is born his family think that he is dead. and when his family is about to cremated muzan started crying. but he is so weak that the doctor tolled that he not live longer.
but there is a master that can do experiment in muzan and try to heal muzan and give his strength by using blue spider lily flower that can grow every 6 years only one time at day only.
During the experiment of his master muzan get the strength and kill his master and that's the time when a real demon king muzan born, after that muzan noticed that he is not able to go out in day. because the sun burn him but at night his is not able to get scary anything is now immortal, as much human he eat he getting more and more powerfull and stronger. but to conquer the sun he needs blue spider lily flower for that, so he makes demons and spread all over the japan to find information about blue spider lily.
