Is buying a Semi-Automatic washing machine worth it?
In today’s world, everything happens with the blink of an
eye and everything happens ‘just like that’. The modern man’s world is literally
at his finger-tips. With a single touch you can book your favourite movie
tickets, video chat with a person thousands of miles away, or wash your clothes
as well. Yes, even one of the most tedious tasks of washing clothes is
simplified.
So, in this ‘fully-automatic’ world, why would anyone think
of buying a semi-automatic washing machine? And would it be worth? Let’s find
that out.
PROS
- No need of a continuous water connection
We don’t need to explicitly mention the scarcity of natural resources, especially water, do we? A fully automatic washing machine consumes more water, while you have total control of the water supply when you use a semi-automatic model.
- Consumes Less Power
We all do the same drill while staring at the handsome electricity bill that waits for us every month. The feeling is mutual, and we understand! Simply put, using a semi-automatic washing machine would help you cut down on your electricity bills.
- Dry and Wash at the same time
The world surely has gone automatic but it also wants multi-tasking. An automatic machine would be able to perform just one task at a time; either wash or dry clothes. However, a semi-automatic machine would have 2 separate tubs; a multi-tasker it is!
- Lighter on Pocket
Ideally, the cost of a semi-automatic model is considerably less as compared to a fully automatic model.
Being semi-automatic, it requires manual intervention. This could be annoying and not convenient for time management. Imagine a situation when you’ve just switched on the washing machine and want to step out of the house; no-can-do! The machine would also require much more space.
The pros certainly outweigh the cons but at
certain times a fully automatic machine would really come handy. If you are
ready to compromise on certain things, then buying a semi-automatic washing
machine is worth it.
