Is Adipex Ok to Mix with Alcohol?

abuse is when you use a legal or illegal substance in the ways you shouldn’t or
for the purposes not prescribed by a medical practitioner, while addiction is
when you can’t stop. The desire to have the drug can fill up every minute of a
person’s day even if they want to quit it.
Drug abuse may lead to social, physical, emotional and job-related
problems for an individual.
Adipex drug abuse
Adipex (Generic: Phentermine) is
a weight-loss drug which is prescribed for the people who are clinically obese
or have medical problems related to their weight. The drug works best when used
with a proper diet and exercise program. It is a controlled substance due to
its similarity to the stimulant amphetamine, and as such is available only with
a prescription.
Mixing Adipex with alcohol
Adipex is a stimulant, and some
people may mix it with alcohol to get a high. However, the medication should
not be mixed with alcohol as side effects are likely to be more severe than
either of the substances consumed alone.. Adipex side effects like nausea, dry
mouth, irregular heart rate, blood pressure issues, trouble sleeping, itching
and restlessness can become worse when the drug is consumed with alcohol. Even
a small amount of alcohol taken with Adipex can increase a person’s risk of
heart attack, raised blood pressure, stroke and chest pain.
Adverse effects of mixing Adipex and alcohol
Another reason why you shouldn’t
think about mixing alcohol and Adipex is because it increases your risk of
addiction. Both alcohol and Adipex are addictive, and if you mix them, the
interaction between them is likely to make you addicted. Moreover, Adipex is a stimulant while alcohol
is a depressant, and mixing the two may cancel out the effects of the
medication, making it less effective. Alcohol is full of sugar and empty calories, and makes it harder for
your body to burn fat, so you are unlikely to lose weight when mixing alcohol
with Adipex. Anyways, drinking isn’t a good idea when you are trying to lose
weight as alcohol affects your liver and you are likely to make wrong food
choices when you are drinking.
