Introduction to Google Cloud Certification

by John Thomas Content Writer

If you're looking to become a cloud-savvy professional, then you'll want to consider getting certified. Google has several cloud certification programs that can help you achieve this goal. Learn at Google Cloud Training at 3RI Technology.

First, Google offers the Cloud Platform Professional (CPP) certification program. This program covers a wide range of topics related to using Google Cloud Platform, from setting up and managing resources to developing applications on GCP. If you're looking to become a cloud-based power user, then the CPP certification is a must-have.

Next, Google offers the Compute Engine Specialist (CES) certification program. The CES certification is designed for IT professionals who want to become experts in deploying and managing servers running on Compute Engine.

Topics covered in the CES certification include tuning and optimizing compute resources, creating and managing images, and deploying applications on Compute Engine. If you're interested in becoming an expert in server management, then the CES certification is a great choice for you.

Finally, Google offers the Cloud Platform Developer (CPD) certification program. The CPD certification is geared toward developers who want to learn how to build cloud-based applications using Google Cloud Platform APIs and SDKs.

Topics covered in the CPD certification include building web applications with GCP API v3; working with BigQuery; building managed services with Kubernetes; setting up Prometheus monitoring; working with Datastore; and more. If you're interested in developing cloud-based applications, then the CPD certification is an excellent choice for you.

Why Google Cloud Certification?

There's a reason why Google Cloud certification is such an important choice for IT professionals. With Google Cloud certification, you can become an expert in deploying and managing servers running on Compute Engine, BigQuery, GCP APIs, and more.

Becoming certified gives you the recognition you need to stand out from the competition and increase your chances of landing new projects.

How to get a GCP certificate?

There are two ways to get a GCP certification. You can take the free self-study course, or you can enroll in the paid Google Cloud Platform developer certification program.

The self-study course is an excellent way to learn about GCP, but it's not a substitute for taking the official certification exams. The Google Cloud Platform developer certification program allows you to take the exams at your convenience, and it costs $299 per seat.

So, if you're interested in becoming certified in GCP, be sure to check out the free self-study course and the Google Cloud Platform developer certification program.

You can enroll in the paid Google Cloud Platform developer certification program from any training institute which does provide the training for Google Cloud.

Preparing for a Google Cloud certification exam

Once you've decided which certification you want to take, the next step is to prepare for the exam. There are a few things you need to do before taking the exam, and these include:

1. Understanding Google Cloud Platform fundamentals

The first section of every GCP certification exam is an overview of the Google Cloud Platform. You'll need to be familiar with all of the major components of GCP, including compute, storage, networking, applications and services, and data sovereignty.

2. Reviewing the Google Cloud Platform certification exams

Once you understand the foundations of GCP, it's time to review some of the more specific topics covered in the certification exams. This includes understanding how to use Compute Engine and Kubernetes, deploying applications on GCP using App Engine and Container Engine, using Analytics for competitors' insights into your cloud workloads, managing multiple projects with TensorFlow Serving, and setting up billing and reports for your users with BigQuery.
