Like everyone else, you probably have those few special tees you just can’t seem to part ways with. You might have had it for decades; the seams may be falling apart, but throwing it away seems like an impossible thing to do. Fortunately, you don’t need to toss away your customized tees. If you channel your inner artist, you can transform even the most worn off garments into something totally new, adding a spark of individuality to it.
Here are a few ways you can use your old customized tees and up cycle them into something new:
Make Quilts
Almost every major event in life is marked with a tee. Whether it was a team, concert or club, you probably have a tee that speaks louder to you than any other memory. The best way to recycle all these shirts is by turning them into a quilt. This is a creatively clever way to keep these tees in use for a lifetime.

Make Dog Toys

1. Cut 2” wide slits along the bottom of the shirt and rip along the slit to create strips of fabric.

Make Scarves

1. Cut the shirt across the underarm and don’t worry if you chop off any part of the design as it won’t show.
2. Now stretch the bottom cut half as much as you can. Try looping it around the bottom of your foot to get the perfect stretch.

Make Headbands
If most of your days are bad hair days, why not do something creative with it? Using your old tees you can come up with an easy way to get that head mop under control. Use three strips of an old t-shirt and tie them at the end. Next, braid the strips together and tie the knot at the other end. Then tie the two ends together and that’s it!
