Like everyone else, you probably have those few special tees you just can’t seem to part ways with. Make Quilts

Almost every major event in life is marked with a tee. Whether it was a team, concert or club, you probably have a tee that speaks louder to you than any other memory. The best way to recycle all these shirts is by turning them into a quilt. This is a creatively clever way to keep these tees in use for a lifetime.

Make Dog Toys

1.       Cut 2” wide slits along the bottom of the shirt and rip along the slit to create strips of fabric.

2.       Assemble your t-shirt strips together and tie them off at one end.

3.       Now braid the strips together.

4.       Once you have braided down to the other end, tie up the bottom and cut any straggling strips off.

Make Scarves

All of us are guilty of trying to shove in oversized t-shirts into our drawers when we really don’t wear them. Turning your oversized t-shirt into a head scarf is one of the easiest things to do. Can you operate scissors? Do you have two minutes? Let’s make some trendy head scarves.

1.       Cut the shirt across the underarm and don’t worry if you chop off any part of the design as it won’t show.

2.       Now stretch the bottom cut half as much as you can. Try looping it around the bottom of your foot to get the perfect stretch.

If most of your days are bad hair days, why not do something creative with it? Using your old tees you can come up with an easy way to get that head mop under control. Use three strips of an old t-shirt and tie them at the end. Next, braid the strips together and tie the knot at the other end. Then tie the two ends together and that’s it!
